Game development can look very different from the finished features you eventually get your hands on.

Behind the Team is a new series where we’ll occasionally pull back the curtain on the people building Enginefall, what they’re working on, and some of the decisions that happen along the way.

For our first entry, Joe takes a look at one of the areas we’ve been actively iterating on: Base building!

We’ve heard plenty of feedback around the current system, particularly when it comes to making building faster, clearer, and more intuitive. The team has been experimenting with ways to simplify that experience while still giving players the freedom to build out their Dagger the way they want.

Check out the video below for a look at that process, some work-in-progress changes, and how your feedback makes its way back to the team.

Behind the Team will return with more developers, features, and work-in-progress looks at Enginefall in the future.

Wishlist Enginefall and follow along as we continue building what comes next.
