The latest build is out!

Quick update to share that the Steam playtest is now available via Windows x64, or Steam Deck!

New stuff

  • Behavioral effects like charm, pacify, stun, and confusion now work on every enemy type.

  • Throwables are far more useful now.

  • Bosses are immune to most status effects, but not all of them. Experiment and find out which ones slip through.

Improvements

  • Map generation, enemy spawns, loot, and combat rolls are now fully deterministic from the seed. Same seed, same dungeon.

  • Small, handcrafted rooms now appear carved into the dungeon sprinkled here and there, adding variety to each floor layout.

Balance

  • All throwable effect durations increased. Status effects stick around longer, making tactical plays more rewarding.

  • Deeper floors get harder through more modifiers and enemy variety, not inflated numbers.

Bug fixes

  • Ranged weapons (Eruptor, Sling, ...) now correctly use their configured range for targeting.

  • Disassemble option now properly appears for equippable items in inventory.

  • Mutation name no longer lingers in HUD after player death.
