New Shardling Enemies That Will Take Pleasure In Your Suffering

Hi everyone!

We've been back in action for the new year and are now here to bring you some re-done revamped Swordcery abilities AND a look at some new enemy designs we'll be bringing to life.

The Power of Water & Wind

We've been clearing out some of our backlog of swords that need powers. Here's Coral Griefer's slow moving, but extremely threatening water orb. It hits multiple times and has a nice big splashy explosion at the end. This swordcery is great for wreaking havoc upon groups, especially when it's upgraded to have maximum hit frequency!

Maelstrom used to have a whirlwind Swordcery ability, but since that got repurposed to be the entire Greatsword class' heavy attack we blessed it a power worthy of it's name. You can now use its swordcery to bellow barbarian warcries which send out waves of wind and electricity. The blasts also travel further and deal greater damage as you upgrade the sword!

More ROCK Friends

It's no secret that we love our little rock enemies the most. Which is exactly why we're excited to finally start finalizing the enemies of the Shard Kingdom.

Here are some designs of the enemies who will try to actively make your life harder:

Meet the Bouderlith, a hulking bruiser who looks like a mountain that spent one too many hours at the gym. He wears a permanently dumb smile while he telegraphs every hit so you can feel both insulted and terrified. Slow but devastating, he slams the ground for huge AoE damage, lays down sticky tar that ruins your footwork, and will spinning lariat you so far you will question your life choices.

Pebblemancer is the dark cousin of our wizardling, a tiny gem-horned rock goblin who radiates smugness. He looks almost cute until he starts stitching together spell combos that twist the battlefield into a total disaster. He fires various spells from a range and isn't nearly as cowardly as the wizardlings, so learn his tells or his advanced dark arts will turn you into a heroic stain.

The Stalagknight is exactly what it sounds like, a stalagtite who represents the finest of the Shard Kingdom's warriors. Faster than your average rock, their whole deal is precision dives that try to crush you under their pointy ambition. They potentially will also try to trap you inside jagged stalagmite enclosures and let you know that "their not locked in here with you, you're locked in here with THEM!"

Hope you enjoyed the update and thank you for reading! We're hard at work finalizing these enemies and the next biome itself, so please look forward to seeing how these rocks stack up!

Living the sedimentary lifestyle,

-Don and Mike
