Our new trailer for our creature-collecting metroidvania game was just played in Future Games Show's Spring Showcase with exciting news... as we just launched our demo for Rover's Tale!
We're excited that our Demo is now live for you to play! This is the first time you've been able to get your hands on with Rover's Tale and explore our alien world. Here's what to expect from our Demo:
🤖 Play as a Rover with your Human companion
🪐 Explore the first biome of Terra II
🐛 Collect creatures & utilise their unique abilities to progress
✨ Experience 1-2 hours of Rover's Tale gameplay

Watch our Narrative Trailer to learn more about the LAIKA Program, which gives old dogs a new lease on life by transferring their consciousness into LAIKA Rovers, allowing them to live forever as brave space explorers!
You'll also see new creatures, cave systems, and footage of the biomes you’ll explore deeper into the game, past Pastoral Prairie (the biome you can now explore in our Steam Demo!).
In case you missed it, we recently changed the name of our indie game from 'Good Boy' to 'Rover's Tale'. At its heart, our game is a love letter to dogs. Its story pays homage to the special relationships we build with our best friends, and how much they mean to us. In our game, we don’t want you to play as any Rover, we want you to play as your Rover. Be that a best friend who has already gone on to explore the stars, or your current canine companion. We added the ability to name your Rover, so you can go on this adventure together ❤️
With that in mind, we felt Rover’s Tale was a more fitting title for our canine love letter / creature collecting metroidvania.
