Hey Rovers! I'm Kenan, the Creative Director on Rover's Tale - and this is actually my first written post on the community forums but you can get used to me now because you'll be seeing a lot more of my updates! We have some exciting news, some interesting news, and some plans to share with you all (yes, there's a delay and that means image text on a dark background with news, but it's for a great reason and trust me, the game will benefit massively).
So to summarize:
We're moving the launch to next year, we have a date we're aiming for and the plan to get there but we'll share that closer to the time
We're at Gamescom! You can find us in the Indie Arena Booth by the Nintendo Switch booths (yep! We are launching on handhelds so Steam Deck optimization is one of our biggest goals).
The big news for us that won't really affect you guys is that we are no longer working with Team 17 to launch the game, they helped us get to where we are and we're eternally grateful for all the help they provided us! From here on out though we'll be handling all communications here directly (so if you want to let us know you love the game or if it sucks - tell us why! Both are helpful!)
There will be a lot more updates coming soon and we'll be having playtests in the not too distant future. So if you're interested, make sure you're wishlisted and following the game and you'll receive an update when that's happening. (We just love to see you all playing the game :))
