Demonschool fan art extravaganza

Hello, friends! The response to Demonschool has been great, and we've heard from a lot of folks who see themselves in some of these characters (nobody really sees themselves as Jem, for some reason), or enjoy their friendships, or their activism, or simply beating up demons. One side effect of all this is we've gotten the most fan art of any game we've ever released.

We thought we'd share some of the art we've gotten across the last couple of months (with permission from the artists, of course). If you've made any fan art, please tag us on Bluesky or similar, and maybe we'll be able to feature it in a future roundup. And stay tuned to the end for a small update!

Faye/mercy having "very straight thoughts" according to author E.B. Hutchins.

Camille Cee animates Faye in the style of Unbeatable (she's one of the 2D animators on Unbeatable, which is out now!

Our friends at Perfect Garbage (Grave Seasons coming soon!) made this collab between their main character and ours.

Wahoo did a bunch of really evocative sketches of Faye and Namako.

Lovely Namako character study

By SpilledTe

Unsanctioned character crossover with *redacted* upon which we cannot comment!

By PeniPeni

Mira did a bunch of graphite sketches, but we particularly liked this one where for some reason her shirt graphic has been changed to the character for "Four."

By Mira

This color image from Ovejis has Faye doing something that would give us a whole additional age rating bump (Faye doesn't actually smoke) but we liked this image a lot as it does get at her vibe.

By Ovejis

Last but not least, this series of rigged/posed 3D models from Eolai. Impressive!

BUT WAIT, there's more! During production we commissioned a few pieces from various folks when they crossed our feeds.

Seth Redd did this great sketch of Faye and Destin - he got their vibes without even being able to play the game yet.

By Seth Redd

Grayson does cute little sculpee-looking 3D models, and we had him do a Namako/Faye combo, with a lil frog.

By Grayson

Krormwrorm does these wild mixed media-feeling 3D scenarios, and we knew we had to have one.

ART OVER

That's it!! Hope you've enjoyed, and like we said, here's a little surprise for the end. Demonschool will be getting a free update in the (relatively) near future. We asked folks to review the game on steam, and since you delivered, we promised Faye would be able to buy that pretzel she misses out on when she first reaches the island. We're going to update a few areas of the game - don't expect anything game-changing, but there will be a lot of little things coming. And of course we'll continue to work on whatever bugs remain. So please look forward to that, and we'll have more info when we're able to provide it!

Thanks for continuing to play and share Demonschool - don't forget to leave us a review if you liked the game, and do send us your fan art!
