This DLC is focused on "puzzle battles," which present you with specific setups that must be solved within one turn. You are given a certain set of characters in specific positions, with a certain set of enemies in specific positions, and you have to essentially "solve" the board. This is for the players that enjoy the puzzle-y nature of Demonschool's battles - it will make you feel smart when you figure things out!
Two new items will help you in these battles - one which charges any character's special instantly, and another which instantly confers a specific technique. Another trick to these is touching them takes no action points!
There are 50 main puzzles plus a new boss which offers even MORE puzzles. This is of course surrounded by a new sidequest story which takes place across the length of the game, starting with week 9. Players who have already beaten Demonschool will have a concession to play through the puzzle DLC quickly without going through the whole game again.
Though it's difficult to gauge the length of time this will take players to get through, we estimate that if you absolutely knew what you were doing, it would be about 2 hours of content. But for someone playing naturally, it will likely be much longer. It took our creative director (who did not make the puzzles) 6 hours to get through all of them just using his brain (and frankly, he's still stumped on 7 puzzles).
