Good afternoon everyone! This is the developer of Economic Miracle. I rarely post news here, but I hope to do so more often. I spend all my time developing the game.

Today, I'd like to discuss a new game mechanic—the division of the population into 8 categories:

  • Elite

  • Bourgeoisie

  • Creative Class

  • Proletariat

  • Precariat

  • Social Class

  • Security Apparatus

  • Army

At first glance, it might seem like we're talking about the standard population classes defined by Marx, but that's not entirely true. A broader concept is used here: population categories are divided not only by economic activity but also by their influence on the country (which is more important within the framework of these game mechanics). This is why there's a security apparatus and an army, while social class includes everyone who has no influence and is subject to others' influence (economic, administrative, and other).

A bar chart is used to monitor population categories. It has 16 columns (2 for each category). The first column shows the percentage of the total population, and the second column shows their influence within the country. As the example shows, the elite makes up a tiny fraction of the population, yet wields enormous influence. Using this game mechanic, you can observe the dynamics of social change.

By the way, ALL countries in the world are already assigned a unique balance of all social categories from the start! Each country has its own situation.

Add the game to your wishlist!
