Opening Context


Greetings SUPERVIVERs! Just last week, we released a major hotfix addressing a lot of your launch feedback, including increasing prisma gains and reducing armory crafting costs. Since the entire team has been focused on getting those changes out to you as soon as possible, this patch is on the lighter side, but we’re thrilled to welcome our first post-launch hunter - Tetra, along with more balance and QoL improvements. Let’s dive in!

Hunters

Tetra

Tetra is a new Controller addition to the roster.

A new Hunter: Tetra, the Tough Stoneshaping Brawler

  • Stonesight (PASSIVE): Sneak to detect enemies in front of you, even if they’re out of vision.

  • Quake Punch (LMB): TAP to throw a boulder. HOLD and release to punch, launching enemies and rocks. Enemies punched into a wall are Stunned.

  • Volcano Crusher (RMB): HOLD and release for a powerful slam. Enemies hit in the center are Stunned. Over the Abyss, they are Dunked. Jump while charging this ability to leap forward.

  • Landslide (SHIFT): Dash forward, generating and launching a rock.

  • Rockwave (Q): Raise a wall of three rocks in front of you. Punch rocks with Quake Punch (LMB) to launch them. Can only be cast over ground. Allies can hop over friendly Tetra walls by jumping against them.

  • Tetraform (R): TAP to create a giant wall of rocks that Slow nearby enemies. HOLD and drag to position the walls at your desired angle. Casting this over abyss will also create temporary terrain.

    • Level 4: Tetra Bye Emote

    • Level 5: Tetra Call Sign

  • Stoneshaper: Create rocks using Rockwave and Tetraform

    • 10K: Steady Call Sign

    • 20K: Mountain Call Sign

    • 20K: Stoneshaper Call Sign

  • The Best Defense…: Use Quake Punch to hit rocks into enemies

    • 10K: Rock Call Sign

    • 20K: Stoned Call Sign

    • 20K: Megaquake Call Sign

  • Surface Explorers: Slam enemies over the Abyss with Volcano Crusher

    • 10K: Tectonic Call Sign

    • 20K: Crusher Call Sign

    • 20K: Posterizer Call Sign

Eva

While most Hunters have been doing well, Eva’s been struggling alone, cold, and afraid. We’re juicing some of her power so she should be a more competitive pick.

  • Corrupted Tether (LMB)

    • Damage increased from 30/0.07 >>> 36/0.084

    • Movement speed while using LMB increased from 65% >>> 75%

  • Beckon (Q)

    • CD decreased from 20/16/12 >>> 18/14/10

  • General

    • Base Health increased from 1225 >>> 1290

    • Health per level increased from 73.5 >>>> 77.4

    • Health at 15 increased from 2327.5 >>> 2451

    • Base Movement Speed increased from 465 >>> 480 

Shiv

We nerfed Shiv imperfectly in last week’s hotfix, but reverted it to focus on the main systemic areas where Shiv is really outperforming.

  • Malice and Resolve (PASSIVE)

    • Malice damage decreased by 40%

    • Now correctly applies 2 stacks on Empowered LMB instead of 3

  • Arcslinger (LMB)

    • REVERTED: -32% damage to LMB and Malice and Resolve

  • Quickflip (SHIFT)

    • Movement Speed bonus decreased from 12/18% >>> 7/10%

  • General

    • Increased Movement Speed from 465 >>> 475

Void

Void’s always had partial hazard immunity. But, he also floats - therefore, he should really be able to float above it all. Thanks to Ukie (the best Void player in Northern Alabama?) for the suggestion!

  • General

    • Now also has Hazard immunity to Lava

Myth

  • BUGFIX: Fixed issue where Myth would gain Attack Speed when equipping items meant to reduce Attack Speed. To the ones who knew, sorry. Kind of.

Carbine

  • BUGFIX: His LMB was nerfed when it shouldn’t have been. It’s un-nerfed now.

Armory 

Seasonal Contracts

Seasonal contracts are mission chains that unlock over the course of a season, with two new new ones each patch. Completing the missions in each contract will grant prisma, and sometimes additional rewards like capsules, or even permanently unlocking additional Forge Offers! Players who complete all 12 seasonal contracts will receive an exclusive cosmetic reward, which can be previewed under the "Missions" ->"Seasonal" tab.

You can have two seasonal contracts active simultaneously. Contracts do not expire until the end of the season. Upon completing contracts from a previous patch, additional active contracts will become available.

New Contracts coming with 1.01

  • Satisfy Kingpin’s Hunger

    • Chapter 1: Breakfast 

      • Quick Kills: Knock players within the first 10 minutes of the game (150 prisma)

      • Abyss Fiend: Spike or Dunk players into the Abyss (150 prisma)

      • Relentless Pursuit: Use UAV Beacons (150 prisma + Capsule Reward)

    • Chapter 2: Lunch

      • Elite Attacker: Place Top 3 holding 2+ items that buff your Primary Attack (300 prisma)

      • Feeding Frenzy: Get 2 consecutive Knocks within 15 seconds (300 prisma)

      • Contract Killer: Get Knocks or Assists as Kingpin or Carbine (300 prisma)

    • Chapter 3: Dinner

      • Bloody Victory: Win a match with at least 10 team Knocks (600 prisma + permanently unlock an additional weekly Forge Offer)

        • (Known issue - this can display in the mission panel as "+0 weekly forge" rather than "+1 weekly forge". It still unlocks the additional forge offer)

  • Hunt the Soulborn

    • Chapter 1: Complete tasks to help Eva hunt the Soulborn

      • Omnivamp Knocks: Get Knocks with Omnivamp Relics and Grips equipped (150 prisma)

      • Soulborn Knocks: Knock Soulborn Hunters (Joule, Celeste, Crysta) OR Knock Hunters during the Final Showdown (150 prisma)

      • Executioner: Execute Wisps with a Finisher (150 prisma + Capsule Reward)

    • Chapter 2: Complete tasks to become the apex Soulborn Hunter

      • Festering Jawblade: Apply Anti-Heal using Festering Jawblade (300 prisma)

      • Omnivamp Healing: Heal via Omnivamp (300 prisma)

      • Soul Hoarder: Collect both Meteor Souls in a single match (300 prisma)

    • Chapter 3: Display your might in a final mission

      • Five-Fold Elimination: Win a match with at least 3 team eliminations (600 prisma)

Forge Crafting Refunds

In our previous hotfix, we reduced forge crafting costs across all item rarities. For players who crafted items before these cost reductions, we refunded the prisma difference back to their accounts.

  • Players who crafted items prior to the crafting cost reductions have received an in-game mail with their prisma refunds.

Prisma Earn Rates

We're generally happy with the buffs to Prisma gains in our hotfix (every player from 12th-1st is getting more prisma than before). However, we were still a bit off the mark when it came to our goal of flattening some of the gains for top finishers. We're tweaking prisma multipliers for the highest placing teams and late game objectives, while leaving our buffs to baseline PvE/PvP gem gains intact.

Separately, the Shogi the Metal Knight was packing way too many prisma gems for a boss that can be killed at Level 1.

  • Gem placement multipliers lowered slightly for 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place

    • Multipliers changed from 1.6/1.5/1.4/1.3/1.2/1.1/1/1/1/1/1/1 >>> 1.45/1.4/1.35/1.3/1.2/1.1/1/1/1/1/1/1

  • Soul boss gems changed from 60 >>> 50

  • Final boss gems changed from 100 >>> 90 

  • Shogi, the Metal Knight: Gems dropped changed from 80 >>> 30

Clarity

  • Progress Bar: We’ve updated the progress bar treatment to make it more clear when your next Forge purchase will star up your gear.

  • Tooltips: We’ve updated out of game Armory item tooltips to be clearer and easier to read. 

  • Capsule Prisma Sources: Based on the completeness of their armory, players may sometimes receive prisma in capsules. We’ve updated the capsule opening sequence to give you a on-hover tooltip to see what the breakdown of your received prisma was.

Item Balance

We’re addressing high performers and underselected Armory Items.

  • Nimbus 180s: +25% Heat Capacity >>> +40% Heat Capacity

  • Recon Runners: (BUGFIX) Actually gives the MS it intends to

  • Rocket High-Tops: 25% Dash Speed >>> 20% Dash Speed

Abyss Combat and Traversal

Dunking

As mentioned in our launch week devblog, we’ve been keeping an eye on Hunters with dunking abilities. Dunkers can sometimes feel oppressive in our 1.0 world, especially in heavy abyss endgames. We have some larger changes still in the works here, but for this patch we’ve reduced the frequency of heavy abyss final circles, so it’ll be more rare that you feel checkmated by that Kingpin just staring at you across the abyss as the circle closes in. (It’s me. I’m the Kingpin.)
We’ve also increased the availability of Emergency Platform, a helpful consumable for playing around the abyss, by adding it to all in-game shops.

  • Emergency Platform: Added Emergency Platform to all stores

  • Circle Adjustments: Made some further adjustments to cut down on abyss-flooded circles.

  • Kill Floor Visual: New grid visual to help visualize the kill floor.

Traversal

  • Mantling: When the camera angle causes terrain to hide your distance to the wall, we’ll now nudge you some so you’re more likely to survive and mantle in places you expect. 

  • Skyshark Variants: Now spawn with two fast and two furious color variants. 

Client

  • Skyshark Keybinds: Added keybinds in Settings Menu for Skysharks.

  • Finisher VO: VO now plays in the menus when previewing finishers.

General Bugfixes

  • Item Wheel: Fixed item wheel not showing item tooltips.

  • Weekly Missions: Fixed a bug where the “place Top 6 while using unique Equipment” mission wasn’t correctly granting progress.

  • Dupes in Capsules: Fixed a bug where duplicate items in Capsules would return not enough Prisma (minimum is now 225) 

  • Warmup: Fixed a bug where you would occasionally see a spectator view and would skip hero select if you found a match while loading into warmup.
