Introducing a taste of the future with how we envision events and some new teases of what to expect in The Sunken Rest our third dungeon.
"In the world of Begraved "Eggfast" is a day the high folk of Goria gift eachother golden & bejeweled eggs, a token of safe passage through the afterlife to the eternal fields of Paradise. For the lowborn, exchanges of simple boiled eggs colored in dyes, Though eating food on this day is strictly forbidden. Doing so shows your allegiance to the dark forces of Pandemonium." These valuables (created by Mae) are already in the Begraved demo, but we thought we would add some lore around them with our take on Easter. We want to create our own specific events, as well as ape real ones, with the main benefit of changing Begraved gameplay in small, funny, or unexpected ways in the future. For example, when Begraved is out, you may see an increase in eggs available in the dungeons, or their value may be significantly higher for a limited time. But with Paradise comes Pandemonium, our other new eggs added to the sunken rest may have much more terrifying results when you go to open them... "Eggfeast", the day after Eggfast. The early spring festival is celebrated by eating a variety of eggs. Those who starved the day before may now rejoice in the promise of Paradise.
