Salve, Centurion,

The new surprise update for Summa Expeditionis has an undeniable star: the new mule stable! This building will help you manage your best logistical allies. It serves as a resting point for the mules, making them easier to manage, and includes several storage slots for all items related to these animals.

Additionally, we have added one of the most requested features by the community: clearing grass. In the buildings menu, under the "Misc" section, you will now find "Clear Area". This will mark a square of land as clearable, and both you and any soldiers assigned to the Servus Castrensis role will be able to remove the vegetation (requires the use of a shovel).

CHANGES

  • The mule can now wait in place when ordered.
  • The contents of mule storage now synchronize with its movement animations.
  • Adjusted the mule’s walk/run distance and expanded its follow range to make its movement feel more natural.
  • Pets no longer run while inside the camp unless they are in danger and need to flee or fight.
  • Improved animal AI behavior in relation to their owners. They now focus better on defending their owner and will directly react to attackers during a camp attack.
  • If a camp pet moves too far beyond the influence area (influence area x2), it will teleport back to the camp. This prevents pets from getting stuck in unreachable locations while chasing or fleeing from enemies.
  • Revised the initial mission line to improve the ambush sequence’s aesthetics and fixed save/load issues at the start of the game. Also, expanded the initial safe zone from aggressive animals to cover the supply cart.
  • Added a new building, "Mule Stable", under the "Camp" category, where mules will prefer to stay when left free inside the camp.
  • Added a new "building" under the "Misc" category called "Clear Area", which allows players to mark areas for grass removal using a shovel. (NPCs performing servus castrensis tasks will treat this as a building and will automatically clear the area if they have a shovel available).
  • Modified the interaction for removing mule attachments; now, you must hold the action for a few seconds. This prevents accidental unloading of all cargo.

BUG FIXING

  • Fixed a bug where enemy raids did not display their point of origin or notify players when enemies were approaching.
  • Reviewed production settings in buildings to prevent certain rare-use items from having infinite default production.
  • Fixed save errors that, under certain conditions, prevented the game from being saved. (This bug may reoccur as more content is added or in situations I have not been able to reproduce).
  • Fixed issues with animal AI that caused them to wander too far from the camp, making them impossible to locate.
  • Reviewed problems with certain texts and icons that were not displaying correctly.
  • Fixed a bug that caused AI to return to their original camps instead of staying in the assigned camp in certain situations.
  • Fixed a bug where AI moved resources from one construction to another, storage, or production instead of keeping them in place.
