Hello Vampires lords!

After a long work, I can finally show you the fighting system which we just finished.

Fighting in Vampire Clans is based on a slow-motion tactic, which is almost like an active pause but your vamps could be hit if you are making your decision too long. Of course, you can use a traditional real-time playstyle based on your reflex.

There are two modes of vampire locomotion. In one of them, the vampire is acting normal, just like normal people do.

The second mode is fighting mode, which allows the vampire to move and fight super-fast, adds damage, and - what is most important - adds the vampire sense. Vampire sense turns on slow motion when the vampire is attacked (and when he's not moving), which allows him to make effective dodges and counterattacks.

We also upgraded an AI of NPCs. Now they are not only running from vampires, but they can start to attack him. In gifs, you can see the people using crossbows. They are trying to avoid a direct and close meeting with the vampire. When the vampire is too close to them, they are moving back, and the further NPCs are slowly moving toward the vampire and trying to shoot him. During this, NPCs are always trying to surround the vampire and don't let him escape.

In addition to this, we made new moving animations that are much smoother than the previous ones. Also, there are two camera modes, one of them is an unlocked camera. The second one is a lock on target mode. You can now lock on camera on your current vampire to make an RPG playstyle.

Tell us what do you think about the latest mechanics on our Discord channel. Feel free to share your ideas and suggestions.

Community10 Jun 2026Devlog #20Hi Vampires! In the demo, the game's combat is difficult and somewhat confusing, so we've decided to refine the combat mechanics. We're working on improving combat so that it's more skill-based. The screenshots below don't represent the finished system, but rather the direction we're heading. Combat Currently, the vampire can fight with both a sword and a crossbow. Switching to sword combat all…Community2 Mar 2026Devlog #19Hi Vampires! Based on survey results from the game demo, we conducted several A/B tests to improve in-game movement. Here are the results. Movement & Destructibles Almost every obstacle now is destructible. We have removed the dark rocks in the movement zone and replaced them with elements the vampire can destroy with attacks or dashes. Every pink obstacle in the screenshot below is destructibl…Community29 Dec 2025Devlog #18Hello Vampires! We are currently working on expanding the game world and bringing it to life. Areas from the demo have also been reworked to be more immersive. We have added many types of enemies with different mechanics to diversify the combat. Also, during the fights and exploration, we can use more than one vampire at once. More Vampires! We can now recruit other vampires to our clan, and th…
