Bug Fixes v1.0.81

Hey Paw-Painters!

This new update bumps PawPaint from v1.0.78 to v1.0.81 with some bug fixes. The patch notes are as follows.

CHANGES MADE:

  • Selecting a modifier now gives it the whole Properties panel, the way selecting a mask does. Its settings are right at the top instead of buried under the brush controls. Clicking the layer in the Layers panel returns you to the layer's settings.

  • The default project resolution (including for the tutorial) is now 4096 x 4096 rather than the previous 2048 x 2048. Your last used resolution is still remembered.

  • A material's resolution is now a document setting, so Ctrl+Z no longer resizes it back. The confirmation box tells you before you commit: changing resolution cannot be undone, and it clears the undo history.

  • Whilst using the Mesh Section Fill tool, hovering a part of the mesh that belongs to a different material now shows that section in a soft gray, so you can tell it was picked up but will not fill until you switch to its material in the Materials list.

BUGS FIXED:

  • Painting stopped working after changing the resolution of the material you were painting on. Strokes did nothing, or landed at the wrong size and in the wrong place.

  • Undoing an earlier step after a resolution change smeared black patches into painted areas.

  • Selecting a Blur modifier while the brush controls were showing put both Radius sliders out of step. Dragging one could grab the other, and double-clicking to type a value opened the box on both.

  • Collapsing the Preset section under the brush also collapsed the Fill layer's Preset section.

  • The Mesh Section Fill hover preview highlighted a mess of faces behind the surface you were pointing at, instead of the section under your cursor.

  • The Lasso Fill tool could catch faces hidden behind the surface you dragged over.

  • The Mesh Fill section highlight no longer bleeds through the model at glancing angles, and no longer disappears on flat faces viewed straight on.

  • On models with several materials, hovering some areas with the Mesh Fill showed no preview at all.

Thank you for using PawPaint! <3
