Hello! We are Fantastic Signals — a new studio started by a small group of game developers who wanted to use their previous experience to find new ways of creating immersive experiences where gameplay mechanics and atmosphere work together. We care about worldbuilding, weird but captivating stories, and gameplay systems that feel alive — and our new game is bringing all of that together.Welcome to The Lift.

What is The Lift? It’s a first-person supernatural handyman simulator where your task is to reclaim The Institute — a sprawling research facility consumed by chaos after a catastrophe. Step by step, floor by floor, you’ll push back against the strange anomalies that infest it, restoring order through tools, craft, and sheer persistence.

The core of the game is the repair system. You won’t just press a button to “fix” something — you’ll get your hands dirty with the machines themselves. You’ll dismantle devices, study their insides, replace missing parts, and piece together working circuits from scavenged components. Every lightbulb changed, every module slotted in, every circuit reconnected is a small victory — both over the broken machine and over the Institute’s creeping disorder.

From vending machines and generators to supercomputers, massive satellites, and reactors — each device feels alive, demanding your attention and rewarding you with the sense that you’ve brought a piece of the world back under control. It’s a process that is both approachable and deeply systemic, designed to make you feel like you’re truly learning how things work as you restore and renovate The Institute.
