Adventure Land - The Code MMORPG · published
Hey Adventurer! The Anniversary Event is here! Monsters are dropping cake slices and Anniversary Gifts, Mira has opened her workshop in Mainland, and you might find the whole server coming to visit you.
Merrit has something for the shops in the square too. More on her parcels below!
Every 30 minutes, a player is featured on each non-PvP server. Be online when the round starts, then click their red KISS portrait in INFO to find them. You have 5 minutes to get close and use I Kiss You. You don't need to own the emote to take part. Your visit earns you a cake slice and an Anniversary Gift. The featured player gets a slice of their own flavor and a Gift too. One rewarded visit per character each round! Newer, lower-level players are more likely to be featured. If you've just joined, you might suddenly have quite a few people looking for you.
There are 6 cake flavors, and your account always finds the same one. Trade with other players for the missing slices, then bring one of each and 100,000 gold to Mira. She'll make you a Sixfold Cake. You can find slices and Gifts while hunting monsters too, so keep an eye on your drops between visits.
Have a particular item in mind? Use your cakes with the other ingredients in Mira's crafting recipes. There are 8 new pieces of anniversary equipment:
Homecoming Helm, Coat, and Cape: a 3-piece set for Warriors and Paladins.
Reunion Bow and Parade Quiver: something new for your Ranger to work toward.
Candleward: a shield with a little flame still burning.
The Guestbook: an offhand with Intelligence, Vitality, and resistance. There's still room for your name.
Keepsake Pendant: more MP and lower skill MP costs, with a small XP bonus.
Or take a cake to Xyn and open it for a random piece of anniversary equipment or a rare anniversary hat, plus 3 Anniversary Gifts. Gifts have their own reward pool: mostly gold, with chances for returning prizes, new equipment, and emote jars. You can inspect the rewards and odds in the event guide. Make a Wish is one of the new emotes. Craft its jar at Mira, or find it in a lucky Gift. There's also an extremely rare I Kiss You jar, which lets you keep giving kisses after the event ends. Mira leaves when the event ends, but your items and emotes stay. Unopened cakes and Gifts can still be exchanged later.
Running a shop in Mainland? Merrit now brings Market Parcels to stocked stands around the square and its southern aisle. Any class can take part—you don't have to be a Merchant. Put something up for sale, or place a buy order you can afford. Keep your stand open in the same spot for 2 minutes, with room for neighboring shops and clear access to the NPCs. Then wait for Merrit to reach you. Each account can receive up to one parcel an hour, shared across characters and servers. Keep your parcels, trade them, or exchange them with Xyn. Most contain supplies such as scrolls, leather, or gems. One in 900 parcels contains one of these rare finds:
Duskweave Hood reduces skill MP costs.
Caravan Brigandine adds physical and magical Courage.
Mirrorsteel Gauntlet reflects some magical damage.
Ironheel Boots return some physical damage.
Tollkeeper's Pike gives Warriors and Rogues a spear with extra reach, HP, Dexterity, and armor piercing.
Occasionally she'll add 1 SHELL to your account as well. If she isn't visiting, check her guide in INFO—it explains your shop's status and where to leave space.
Drapes now drop from Mummies and Ghosts. You'll need them for several of Mira's recipes. Franky's Mummies can drop them too, less often.
Event notices are easier to find. Active seasonal events get priority, and the featured anniversary player appears first in INFO.
Public game chat now reaches Discord's #game_chat channel. Party chat and private messages stay out of the relay. Discord replies don't go back into the game. (Thanks to thmsn's PR)
Optional AI tools can now control browser CODE through MCP. A connected tool can check, start, stop, or reload CODE on a character you already have open in your browser. You don't need Mainframe for these browser controls.
More is coming this September. For now, there's cake to trade and a square full of people to meet! Thanks for being here, whether you joined this week or have been around since the beginning. See you in-game! Wizard
