The first 67 Simulator Playtest goes ONLINE!

67 Simulator · published

Hello everyone!

After countless nights, way too much crunch, and code that on some days looked more like ancient hieroglyphs, the time has finally come: The very first official playtest for 67 Simulator is opening its doors!

The most important facts (for those who don't like to read):

  • When? Tomorrow!
  • Time? Exactly 10:00 AM EST / 7:00 AM PST
  • Where? Right here on the Steam page!

What's ALREADY in the Playtest?

We have prepared a masterful blend of serious Meme culture and... well, things that hunt us in our nightmares. Here is what you can dive into right now:

  • Classic Singleplayer & Custom Mode
  • Full Online Ranked PvP
  • Leaderboards (Prove you are a absolute Chad)

Coming at Full Release:

We are just getting started. For the full version launch, we are working on:

  • Custom Games
  • Server Browser & Lobbies
  • Local Splitscreen (to ruin friendships IRL)

The Future (Roadmap):

A massive wave of updates and new content is already planned! Expect everything from a Battle Royale mode to 2v2 matchups, entirely new game modes, more content, and deep customization options. Stay tuned for more updates!

If you suggest any new modes or have features you would like to see in upcoming updates, let us know in our Discord server under the #feedback tab!

Financial Disclosure (Pls Wishlist):

Full transparency: We might have gambled away our entire development funding opening CS cases... 📉 So we desperately need some new traction to cover upcoming resource costs during development (probably questionable substances). If you enjoy the playtest and want to support our questionable financial decisions, we would be absolutely thrilled if you could add the full game to your Wishlist! It costs you nothing and helps us survive.

Our Playerbase matters to us:

Your feedback is extremely important to us! This is a real early playtest and we want to shape 67 Simulator into the best possible version together with you. So we left our egos at the door and are ready for your honest feedback.

🤔 FAQ: "Wait... why do you keep saying 'WE' if you are a Solo Dev?"

Excellent question. Yes, I am officially a solo developer. There is no massive studio, no boardroom, and definitely no HR department (thank god).

So why the hell do I keep writing "We have prepared...", "Our team is working on...", or "We left our egos at the door"?

Here is the truth:

  • The Royal "We": It just sounds way more professional than admitting it’s just one sleep deprived guy in his underwear screaming at a compiler at 3 AM.
  • The Voices in my Head: After fixing multiplayer netcode and database bugs alone for weeks, the voices in my head started offering design feedback. At this point, they are basically co developers. They deserve credit.
  • Me, Myself & I: "We" represents the perfect trinity of my split personalities: The guy who writes the buggy code, the guy who gets mad at the buggy code, and the guy who opens CS cases instead of fixing the buggy code.

So yes, when I say "We are working hard," it just means I am fighting for my life against my own creation.

Thanks for being part of the journey!

  1. Download the game.
  2. Try to push the game to its absolute limits (Bugs? We prefer the term "surprise features").
  3. Join our Discord to tell us what was good, what was bad, and what was just weird. Here is the link for feedback & the latest news: 67 Simulator Discord Server

So, set your alarms for tomorrow at 10 AM EST, stretch those fingers, and get ready.

See you in Game!
