Dear Earthling,

It's time for another Community Dash, because I have some important information to share with you.

Scaling and Windowed Mode Issues
I have been receiving a lot of feedback and bug reports regarding scaling issues and windowed mode. The issues related to scaling and UI text readability will be fixed as soon as possible.

As for the windowed mode issues, these are not game related problems, but engine related ones. To fix them, I need to perform a significant backend update by upgrading the engine to its latest version, where these issues have already been addressed.

This update will take up a significant amount of development time, as many functions have changed and will need to be rewritten or adjusted. Updating the engine will be my main priority before I begin working on the next major content update: RPG III.

Please note that there is a high chance that save files may become incompatible or corrupted after this major backend update. Don't worry, I will let everyone know well in advance when this update is scheduled to take place.

In the meantime, I will continue releasing smaller updates focused on fixing crashes, bugs, and balancing issues. Once those are complete, I will shift my focus entirely to the backend update before moving on to RPG III.

House
On a more personal note, my wife, our two kids, and I have successfully survived the house move. Everything is behind us now, which means I have much more time to focus on the development of Out of Orbit.

Moving house takes a lot of time and can be quite stressful, but we're finally done. They say a home is never truly finished, and that's definitely true. There are still a few small things that need to be taken care of, but I don't expect them to have any significant impact on development time.

That being said, we could really use a good holiday, so we'll be going on a well deserved vacation in September!
