For context my monitor is a 15 year old PG348Q Asus Monitor. Sadly, after this update I can no longer enjoy all my app has to offer. For those with 4K HDR I hope you like this one.

Greg: Isn't it nice to finally display your accomplishments, Son?"
IKANDY 1.4.8 is about light. On an HDR display the app now presents in true HDR: the bright parts of a scene rise above white instead of stopping at it, with headroom you set from 1.5x to 4x, and a status line in Settings that names exactly why a frame is or is not in HDR. Every engine now finishes on one pipe, so god rays, the color grade and temporal AA look the same whether a scene is a shader import, a compute world, MilkDrop or WGSL, and WGSL scenes run several times faster on the new WebGPU post chain. Output is sharper at every size thanks to FSR1 class reconstruction, god rays lost the little circle at the light and gained smooth shafts, and the app reaches its first frame sooner. Fresh installs open on Psytrance Kaleidoscope. Also fixed: Pro and Studio DLC owners on a PC without the Visual C++ runtime were silently running as Free, Smart Auto follows the source that is actually making sound, playlists play through their saved presets again, renamed scenes keep one identity in the Workshop, and favorites drag properly again.
