Hello, folks!
How’s your summer going? Been on vacation yet? We took a little break ourselves, but now we’re back and ready to continue developing Elysium. Here’s what we’ve been working on recently:
We have been building several internal editor tools that allow us to create, balance, and test new content much faster.
Weapons, items, recipes, creatures, combat matchups, many things that previously required digging through different files can now be viewed and adjusted from one place. This means less time fighting spreadsheets and more time creating things that fight you.
These internal tools are currently intended for development, but we are designing them with the possibility of making some of them available to players for modding and custom content in the future.
No promises yet, but we would love to see what kinds of questionable recipes and terrifying creatures you would create.
We have added Respawn Anchors to certain regions of the world.
After activating one, you will be able to respawn nearby instead of suddenly finding yourself several minutes away from everything you were doing. Dying should have consequences, but those consequences should not always include an unexpected walking simulator.
We have also started working on the next island: Tenvil. It features new biomes, gameplay elements, and, of course, more dangers.
Improved the visuals of Burstbloom and Kamikazix, making them easier to distinguish during fusion.
Now that we’re back from our vacation, stay tuned for more updates!
P.S. Don’t forget to drink water!
That’s all for now. See you soon!
