Hello everyone!
Struggle no more!
From now on, if your pack is full when a piece of gear drops, it will be sent straight to your mailbox instead of disappearing forever.
You'll still get the usual warning that your inventory is full, but you can keep fighting, finish what you're doing, and sort through the spoils later.
This applies to monster and boss drops, as well as equipment found in chests and caches. Quest rewards, trade rewards, and bounty payouts already went to your mailbox and continue to work as before.
Since the mailbox is about to become a much more useful place, it seemed like a good time to stop making it dump every single message into your terminal one line at a time.
With enough mail, that could push practically everything else off the screen.
The mailbox is now a proper window, built on the same interface as Barnaby's storage vault.
Two tabs: Items contains mail with equipment attached, while Messages contains sale notices, bounty payouts, and everything else.
Hover over any item to see its full stats, including a comparison with what you're currently wearing — just like the preview in your inventory.
Item names now use their proper rarity colours, so that Mythic treasure doesn't masquerade as a boring white item anymore.
Twenty items per page, with paging controls to keep even a very full mailbox manageable.
Claim items individually using the button on each row. Take what you want, when you want it.
There does need to be some limit before the mailbox becomes an archaeological record of every sword you've ever refused to pick up.
Overflow items are capped at 250.
If you exceed that limit, the oldest overflow item will be removed, and the game will tell you exactly which item was lost. I'd much rather warn you than quietly make something disappear.
⭐ Importantly, this limit applies ONLY to items sent to the mailbox because your inventory was full.
Quest rewards, trade rewards, bounty payouts, and anything else deliberately delivered to you are never removed, regardless of how much overflow loot you've accumulated.
So go forth. Kill monsters. Open chests. Hoard irresponsibly.
The mailbox has your back.
Thank you all, as always.
