Vealo is a clean desktop. All your icons move into a neat panel with sections and search, and the desktop itself becomes what you like: wallpapers, themes matched to their colours, effects, widgets, cursors, lighting and sounds.
The panel comes on a desktop click or a hotkey, and leaves on its own. Nothing stays behind on the desktop.
We planned to ship one version and then add things week by week. But we got so much done in the last few days that we decided to give it all away at once, on launch day. Here is what matters most.
Your own video file becomes the wallpaper and lives under the desktop icons. Every monitor can get its own video or its own picture. There is a playback speed from 0.25 to 2 and a game mode: a game starts, the video pauses and stops taking resources. On by default.
Rain, downpour, thunder, forest, lake, ocean, campfire. Sounds mix together: rain and thunder play at the same time. The loops are seamless and every sound fades in gently. You can add your own file.
Next to them lives a sleep timer, from fifteen minutes to twelve hours. When the time is up, sounds and effects fade out, and a separate switch can shut the computer down as well. Start the rain, fall asleep, and the machine turns itself off.
One button builds the whole desktop: wallpaper, theme, style, effect, lighting, cursor and widgets. Three colour schemes to choose from: mono, near tones, opposite. Do not like it, put everything back with a single click.
A different picture on every screen. A vertical monitor gets a crop slider: you pick which part of the picture you see, and the choice is remembered separately for each orientation. Rotate the monitor and the wallpaper is redrawn by itself.
Your own cursors, animated ones included, and whole cursor packs: drop in a folder and the roles are assigned automatically. Arrow, busy, text, resize and the rest.
A clean desktop from the first second
Fast startup makes the icons never appear at all. They do not flash and disappear a second later, they simply never show up: the desktop is clean from the moment you sign in to Windows.
Right in the panel. A click shuts the computer down, a right click opens the choice: lock, sleep, shut down, restart. No need to open the Start menu.
Theme from the wallpaper
The app reads the colour from the dominant hue of the picture instead of averaging every pixel. Light wallpapers get a light theme. The desktop and the panel look like one whole.

- Grey text became readable on glass
- The mini panel in the preview shows its live position and moves along with the tiles
