Notice Regarding Content Changes in the Full Release of Silent Valley

Hello everyone, this is Golden Blade Studio.

This is an announcement we need to make before release: Project II: Silent Valley will no longer include the originally planned card battle module. This module will not be included in the full release, nor will it return as a future update.

The card battle module had previously appeared in the project’s planning and promotional materials, and at one point it was considered part of the game. However, by the final integration stage, the programming work for the card battle system still had not reached a state stable enough to be included in the full release. Keeping the module in the game would no longer mean “adding more gameplay”; instead, it would introduce uncontrollable risks to the main flow, narrative pacing, and release stability.

For this reason, we have decided to fully remove the card battle module and adjust the game into a narrative experience centered on story, scene exploration, cinematic presentation, and a linear progression structure. Sections that were originally connected to card battles will be rewritten and reworked as part of the text narrative and presentation flow, ensuring that the main story, character relationships, and ending sequence remain complete.

After this adjustment, Plan II: Silent Valley will be closer to a semi-open narrative exploration game. Players will progress through the story within limited environments, investigate scenes, read texts, understand character relationships, and complete the full narrative through a linear structure. The game will no longer use a battle system as one of its gameplay pillars, and will instead focus more strongly on atmosphere, narrative rhythm, environmental information, and the fates of its characters.

We understand that this change may disappoint players who were looking forward to the card battle system. Since this module had appeared in earlier promotional materials and planning, its removal will naturally create a gap between earlier expectations and the final version. To avoid further misunderstanding, we will update the Steam store page, promotional copy, and version description before release, and will no longer present card battles as a feature of the game. The launch price and discount will also be re-evaluated based on the final content, so that players can make their purchasing decision with accurate expectations.

As compensation for this change in early expectations, players who purchase or add Plan II: Silent Valley to their Steam library within 72 hours after release may send a screenshot of their Steam purchase/library page to our customer support email:

[email protected]

After verification, we will send a Steam activation key for the Plan II: Silent Valley artbook DLC by email. Each Steam account may claim this compensation once. The screenshot should clearly show that Plan II: Silent Valley has been purchased or added to the player’s Steam library. Further details regarding the screenshot format and claim process will also be included in the release announcement.

This was not an easy adjustment to make. Rather than force an unstable programming module into the full release, we would rather deliver a version with a complete main flow, coherent narrative, and stable play experience.

Thank you for following Silent Valley, and thank you for your understanding regarding this change.

——Cyrivan
