Patch 1.4.13.0

Monsters are Coming! · published 3 months ago

All eventsPlayers around this dateRead on Steam

Hello Heroes!

Since the release of the latest update, we’ve been genuinely impressed by your talent for pushing Monsters Are Coming! further than we expected and, sometimes, for completely breaking the game in ways we didn’t think were possible.

Endless Mode especially has already shown us how creative, determined, and terrifyingly efficient some of you can be. We did a lot of QA before releasing the update, but with a game built around stacking systems, scaling power, and letting players create absurd builds, there are always surprises once the update reaches the community.

As always, we want to stay reactive. This patch focuses on fixing the main issues reported after the update, including crashes, softlocks, unexpected damage values, visual problems, and some balancing adjustments.

Thank you again for all your reports, screenshots, saves, and feedback. It helps us a lot.

🛠️ Patch Notes

🐛Bug Fixes:

  1. Fixed an issue causing an instant kill in the Ark's wall

  2. Fixed an issue with a collider in the Road of Clovers side path

  3. [Game Pass] Fixed an issue where focus could be lost from the Sign In button after canceling the sign-in process.

  4. Fixed an issue that could cause a boss to spawn before the first shelter.

  5. Fixed a visual issue when Corruption reached 999.

  6. Fixed an issue causing the hero to deal only 1 damage.

  7. Fixed a crash related to the Piggy Bank relic when leaving a shelter.

  8. Fixed an issue where players could become stuck in Endless Mode if their city was completely filled with tombstones.

  9. Fixed an error affecting the gold value displayed in run statistics.

  10. Fixed an issue causing corrupted monsters to spawn inside shelters.

  11. Fixed a visual issue affecting the Luck percentage display after restarting a run.

  12. Fixed an issue causing Bombers to deal disproportionately high damage.

  13. Fixed an issue where players could lose control of the hero and be dragged toward the top of the screen.

  14. Fixed an issue occurring during the level-up animation while organizing the city.

  15. Fixed an issue where the Organize Your City building remained inside the shelter instead of leaving it.

  16. Fixed an issue with Civilian at Arms projectiles.

  17. Fixed an offset on the city image when ending a run

  18. Fixed an issue that could instantly kill your hero

⚖️ Balancing:

  1. Piggy bank income is now limited to 100 000 gold per shelter

This patch should make the new update much more stable, especially for players pushing deep into Endless Mode and creating builds that go far beyond what any reasonable developer would call “safe.”

We’ll keep monitoring your feedback and reports over the coming days. Some of the wild strategies you’ve found are exactly what we love about the game, but we also want to make sure the experience stays readable, stable, and fair.

Thanks again for playing, experimenting, breaking things, and helping us make the game stronger.

The city doesn’t stop... and neither do we.

Glory to the Ark!
