Hi — I make GO, STOP. Alone, which is part of why this took a while.
The store page is finally up, so I can actually talk about it.
It's a roguelike deckbuilder, except instead of poker hands it runs on hwatu — Korean flower cards. If you've seen them before it was probably in a film: a folding table, cigarette smoke, money on it. That's the right image.
Here's the setup. It's 1999. You owe Wolgok-dang ₩200,000,000 and you have 24 nights to pay it. You start in Busan. They're in Seoul, eight cities away. On the road you can only cover the interest, and it comes due every third night. Miss it once and it rolls into the principal. Miss it three times and nobody knocks anymore.
I know the obvious problem: most of you have never touched a hwatu card. I spent more of this project on that than on anything else. The month is printed on every card, the codex is one click away, and the game explains each situation the first time it happens. The people at the table won't be kind about it. The game will.
Where things stand — eight cities, 24 nights, 50 charms, 60 ghost cards, 15 languages. The content is done.
What's left:
October 13 — free demo, "Three Nights in Busan"
October 19-26 — Steam Next Fest
November 19 — release
If it looks like your kind of thing, a wishlist genuinely matters. Steam uses that number to decide whether to show the game to anyone at all, and right now it's small enough that each one moves it.
Thanks for reading this far.
