The demo is out — six nights, Busan to Daegu, free

It's 1999. You owe a loan shark 200,000,000 won and you have twenty-four nights to pay it back.

The demo is the first six.

Two cities. Busan, then Daegu. Six nights, and every third one is a boss. Boss Kang out of Jagalchi collects 30% faster than you do, and the Hwang family in Daegu just make the hill steeper.

It plays with hwatu

The Korean flower cards. Forty-eight of them, twelve months, four cards each. No numbers, no suits. If you've never held one, the game teaches you as you go.

The scoring sets are multipliers, not points

They stack into each other.

  • Three brights is x5
  • Godori is x6
  • Land both in one round and it's thirty times the pot

Then the table asks whether you want to call Go and double it, while the man across from you gets one more chance to take everything.

And there's a button for cheating

  • One card from the bottom is an 8% chance he catches you
  • Two is 20%
  • Three is a third of the time

Every attempt that night makes the next one worse.

What's in the demo

  • 16 charms, 12 consumables, the first series of Ghost Cards
  • Same systems as the full game, just fewer of each
  • Fifteen languages. Windows

Full game November 19.

— Moon

In-game event25 Aug 2026You said it was confusing. So now it teaches you.A tutorial you play, not one you read A creator recorded fourteen minutes of themselves playing the demo. They said the mechanics seemed solid, then spent most of the video not knowing what was happening. Someone else, who already knew hanafuda, wrote that the explanations were too thin for anyone who didn't. Both were right, about different things. So the demo now opens with the tutorial. · Ei…In-game event23 Aug 2026The first ten minutes, rebuilt — and the bug that froze the table is fixedThe first ten minutes Median playtime on the demo was seven minutes. Four out of ten people closed it inside ten. The game wasn't too hard — people were leaving before they knew what they were building toward. This update rebuilds that first stretch, and removes a bug that could end a run outright. The scoring wasn't hard to understand. It was printed wrong. While cutting new footage for the st…Community13 Aug 2026I made a video explaining every card in the deckMost people who find this game have never held a Hwatu card. That is probably the biggest barrier between GO, STOP and someone actually trying it, so I sat down and made a proper beginner’s guide. Forty-eight cards. Twelve months, four cards each. No numbers, no familiar suits, and almost nothing that works the way a standard Western deck does. Instead, every month is represented by a plant or…
