Shadowforge now includes a fully integrated Recent Colors Palette, improving workflow speed and making color selection much faster and more intuitive during painting.
🟣 Recent Color History (30 slots)
Shadowforge now automatically stores the last 30 used colors
Colors are displayed in a clean 6×5 circular grid
The most recently used colors appear first
🎯 Instant Color Reuse
Click any circle in the recent palette to instantly switch to that color (while holding CTRL)
No need to re-adjust sliders or color pickers
Works seamlessly with brush and tool switching
🔄 Fully Synced Color System
The palette is fully integrated with Shadowforge’s color engine:
HSV color wheel (Hue & Saturation)
Gradient/value control system
Main brush color (global.color)
Eyedropper and painting tools
All systems stay synchronized automatically when a color is selected.
🧠 Smart Color Tracking
Duplicate colors are automatically moved to the front instead of being repeated
New colors are automatically added while painting
Old colors are pushed out when the limit of 30 is reached
🖱️ Integrated UI Behavior
Palette is positioned directly next to the toolbar and under the top menu
Only responds when interacting with UI (does not interfere with painting)
Clean hover and selection highlighting for better usability
Unified HSV-based color system
Improved synchronization between palette, gradient, and brush tools
Stable UI interaction logic preventing accidental input conflicts
Optimized rendering of palette circles for smooth UI performance
