Gamepan 1.1.21
Map zones, a reworked Add-module window, and a faster overlay for maps.
Map zones
- Mark off areas on your maps. Use "Add zone" to draw a freeform shape by clicking corners, then close it. Zones show as a translucent fill with a dashed outline, perfect for marking mine fields, no-go areas, regions, or points of interest.
- Reshape anytime. Drag a corner to move it, drag the dashed midpoint on an edge to add a point, and right-click a corner to remove it. Drag the body to move the whole zone.
- Give a zone an icon and a label. Both sit in the middle of the zone and stay a constant size as you zoom. Turn on "Move" in the zone editor to drag the icon anywhere you like inside the area.
- Color, opacity, and categories. Set each zone's color and fill opacity, and drop it into a category so it shows, hides, and counts right alongside your pins.
- Shared category colors. Give a category a color and let its pins and zones opt in to use it, so a whole group matches with one change.
- Lock things down. Lock a single pin or zone, or lock a whole category at once, so you can't drag them by accident. Locked items still open for editing.
- Choose when zone labels show. A new map setting displays zone labels always or only on hover, separate from the pin label setting.
Add a module, reworked
- Smarter search. The search box now understands what you mean, not just exact names. Type "decide" and you get the randomizers, "todo" finds the task modules, "schedule" finds Calendar, and so on. Related words and common synonyms all lead somewhere useful.
- Add several at once. Turn on "Keep open" (top of the window) and the picker stays up after you add a module, so you can drop a few in a row. You can also hold Shift while adding to keep it open just for that one. The setting is remembered.
- "Already added" markers. Each module now shows whether it's already on this tab (with a count) or on another tab in the game, so you can see at a glance what you've placed.
- Full keyboard control. Arrow keys move the highlight and Enter adds it, from anywhere in the window, not just while the search box is focused. Escape closes.
- Pick your starting tab. A new setting (Settings, under Workspace) lets you choose which tab the Add-module window opens on, so you can land straight on "Browse all" or any category if you prefer.
- The Add-module window is a bit taller, so you can see more modules at once.
Improved
- The overlay keeps large maps loaded. The first time you open a map in the overlay it loads as usual; after that, reopening the overlay is instant instead of reloading the map every time. Much nicer for quickly checking your map mid-game.
