Two things in this update: a translation bug that could leave lines permanently blank in same-alphabet language pairs, and Game audio now showing lines while they are spoken.
Translation fix for same-alphabet language pairs
When a word's correct translation is spelled exactly the same — "Menu" in English→French, or a kanji word between Chinese and Japanese — Playto treated it as a failed translation, dropped it, and refused to cache it, so the same line kept failing forever. These now display and cache normally. Different-alphabet pairs such as English→Japanese behave exactly as before.
Game audio (beta, paid): lines appear while they are spoken
- Live lines — a spoken line now appears at the top of the Audio log while it is being said and grows in place; when it ends, it is finalized, saved and translated. Until now nothing appeared until the line was over.
- Fewer lost lines — lines that used to disappear when music played over them are now recovered from the live pass.
- Which language it hears — audio is recognized as the language you are learning (From), so it works when the game's voices are in that language. The Game audio hint now says this too.
Log: select and delete everything
- Quick translation entries — entries without a capture (including Quick translation) can now be selected and bulk-deleted; their checkboxes never appeared before.
- Selection mode — while selecting, clicking a row toggles it instead of opening the detail view.
- Quick translation filter — moved from the header into Filters.
Other changes
- Self-diagnosis now notes, even when every stage passes, that issues specific to your language pair can fall outside the test's coverage.

If Playto is part of your gaming, a short review helps other language learners find it — and we read every one.
