Hi everyone!
Chaos Front will officially launch on September 3rd. I've replaced the old store assets with the latest gameplay videos and screenshots, which you can now see on the store page.
After three long years of development, the journey is finally coming to an end. Thank you to my long-time supporters and to all the new fans who have shown their love for the game. This is a work I've poured my all into without regrets, and I hope you'll enjoy it.
For this month's dev log, let me talk about the faction gameplay.
Winning battles while fighting for a specific faction increases your relationship with that faction. When the relationship reaches "Trusted" you can spend merit at the faction's Logistics to exchange for that faction's exclusive ship and ARMS. Since ARMS can be captured on the battlefield, when your merit is limited early on, I recommend saving up for ships first.
When the relationship reaches "Ally" you can head to the command headquarters and propose strategic suggestions to the Commander-in-Chief for the next month.
Strategic proposals fall into three categories: Governance, Subversion, and War.
Governance involves developing the faction's planets. The final governance command is a special command unique to each faction.
Subversion involves espionage and sabotage against surrounding hostile planets, and you can even seize planets without fighting by instigating uprisings.
War includes declaring war on surrounding hostile planets, and restricting the faction from declaring war for the next month.
After spending merit to make a proposal, during the faction's strategic phase on the 1st of the next month, as long as your proposal is feasible under the current circumstances, the faction will prioritize executing your proposal.
With one week left until the game launch, we're still busy improving the game's localization, testing, and fixing bugs. Let's look forward to September 3rd.
