With Chapter 3 essentially finished, development on Chapter 4 is officially underway. The story will deal with the consequences of your previous choices, and the paths you've chosen will diverge even further.
Today, I want to share an exciting feature I am experimenting with: Short Cinematic Animations.
Instead of reserving animations only for major scenes, I am exploring adding brief, subtle animated moments to make the game feel much more immersive.
My goal is not to make the game fully animated, but to carefully introduce small, meaningful motions where they add the most value:
Environmental actions (characters entering/leaving a room).
Transitions (walking between important locations).
Subtle expressions (body movements and emotional reactions during dialogue).
These quick, few-second animations will complement the high-quality rendered scenes, improving the pacing and making transitions smoother without delaying development.
Since Behind Closed Doors is still in development, I would love to know your thoughts:
Do you think these short animations will make the experience more immersive?
Would you prefer them frequently or just for key narrative moments?
Don't forget to Wishlist the game to stay updated with the development of Chapter 4! Thank you all for your incredible support.
