To celebrate the occasion, we have decided to reopen the Playtest for the entire duration of the event.
The open Playtest will be available from August 1 to August 8.
During this week, you will be able to play version v0.75 of the game, featuring several changes and improvements ahead of the upcoming Demo release.
In this version, you will be able to play—and replay—the Burning Forest region, as well as the game’s tutorial, of course.
Each new caravan features a different combination of heroes, paths, enemies, and events. Even within this first region, no two expeditions will be exactly alike.
SIGNIFICANT performance improvements across all devices.
Improved particles and combat effects in general.
Added a new pre-game screen, where several settings can be selected before starting a New Game.
Added the Caravan Protector mechanic: before starting a new game, you will be able to select a class. During that run, one character from the selected class will begin at Level 2 and receive the “Caravan Protector” trait.
Added Omens: before beginning a new expedition, you will be shown the Omens currently active in that region. Omens are random modifiers that affect the region during that particular run. Some are positive, while others... not so much.
Added Character Banter: both during battles and throughout the campaign, your heroes will now comment on the situations unfolding around them. This adds a new layer of immersion to each run while giving the characters more personality.
Numerous bugs have been fixed.
