Hello everyone!
We’ve reached the end of The Black Breath’s Open Playtest on Steam.
Over the past few weeks, 181 people joined and played the game, leaving comments and reports that were incredibly valuable at this stage of development. So, first and foremost: thank you!
Thanks to the feedback received, several hotfixes were released during the Playtest, including:
Support for 16:10 aspect ratio displays.
Improved graphical compatibility and performance on lower-end systems.
Fixes for tutorial softlocks that prevented some players from completing it.
Difficulty and balance adjustments, as certain situations could become overly demanding.
Other minor fixes and improvements.
Now that the Playtest has ended, the official Steam demo is beginning to appear on the horizon.
I’m currently working on several general aspects of the game to make sure it launches with the level of quality players deserve.
I’ve also been developing the new menu that appears before the start of each run, which will include different options and information related to metaprogression. I’ll be sharing more details about this system soon.
Exciting months lie ahead for the development of The Black Breath, including its confirmed participation in two festivals that will be announced soon, and possibly a third one as well.
