Changes

Crafting

  • The upgrade and dismantle tools now read as Hammer Tool and Screwdriver Tool, so they are not mistaken for the Hammer weapon of the same name.

  • The dowel bat recipe is unlocked from the start instead of needing to be discovered, so there is a weapon to build on the first crafting bench.

Menus

  • Improved menu performance.

  • Changing display settings now shows a ten second confirmation prompt that puts the old resolution back if you do not confirm, so an unreadable or off-screen mode can no longer strand you.

  • On-screen key prompts draw mouse buttons as a mouse with the pressed button lit, rather than a box lettered LMB, so a left or right click reads at a glance.

  • The Controls menu puts look speed at the top, above the key bindings, instead of below a list long enough to scroll past.

  • The Video menu puts display settings at the top, above the graphics quality options, to match where most games put them.

  • On-screen action prompts name what the button actually does: primary fire reads Attack, and the drag prompt appears only while something draggable is in front of you.

Fixes

Combat

  • Fixed god mode not preventing damage: the cheat menu showed it switched on while the player still took hits and died.

  • Removed the Ghost cheat, which never did anything - the No Aggro toggle beside it already makes enemies ignore you.

Crafting

  • Fixed tools reporting that they equip to a Weapon slot; the recipe panel now calls it the hand slot, which is what weapons, tools and consumables all share.

Inventory

  • Fixed duct tape weighing 1kg a roll, ten times heavier than every other crafting material.

Menus

  • Fixed the look-speed slider ignoring click and drag, so the handle now follows the pointer instead of only jumping to where you click.

  • Fixed the what's new bulletin reappearing every time you returned to the main menu; it now shows once per update and stays shut after you close it.

  • Fixed resolution and window mode changes not applying correctly: picking a resolution forced fullscreen, the window shrank a little further with every change, and borderless and fullscreen could not be reached from windowed.

Night

  • Fixed the flashlight switching itself back on a couple of seconds after you turned it off at night, and relighting whenever you took a hit; it now stays off until the next morning.

Known issues

  • Co-op: Furniture flashes when a drag starts and again when it settles.

  • Co-op: Moving a light as a guest switches it off.

  • Saves: Loading a save made after a visit to the Pit sets you on fire on arrival.

  • Saves: Claiming a bed does not move your respawn; you still come back at the world spawn.

  • Store: Some furniture spawns badly placed - floating near steps, lying down, or facing the wrong way.

  • Store: Aisle sign lettering and framed photos z-fight at some angles - the text flickers as you walk past.

  • Store: Railings generate along edges with no drop, and are missing from some real ones.

  • Store: Fly mode has no way to gain or lose height.

  • Breakage: Eighteen materials across fifteen breakable pieces render flat grey once destroyed.

  • Menus: The Windows cursor shows through the in-game one over menu scrollbars.

  • Menus: The menus can feel sluggish and the cursor lags behind the mouse.
