Too much to list. Check our progress updates for the full list of changes but honestly this is a complete game overhaul to setup the foundations for the future. There is not a single system or asset that hasn't been touched in some way for this update.
This isn't the finished game. This is an early build still with all our new foundational system which themselves aren't completely finished. There will be bugs, performance issues and balance issues which we are excited to squash and balance out as we progress with future updates. We think its a pretty fun sandbox to mess around with though and a well needed upgrade to what's there right now!
Please file bug reports, feature requests and suggestions. In game via the menu or by pressing F8! We expect and are already tracking a number of bugs with this build, with your help we can work through them and patch them out in future update. We are also tracking and planning on implementing some features our friends and people on the discord have raised so if you have an idea please file it! We can't guarentee all suggestions will get in the game but every suggestion is very helpful for getting to know what you all want our of this game!
I'm a bit lost? What should I be doing? Ask the community and file a report on what was confusing! We are deliberately going to be avoiding giving guidance and direction on things for the first week or 2 to help us get a grasp on what is confusing in the game and what needs to be made clearer.
Not this time. Part of the reason this update took so long is to set us up for rapid iteration and content additions. We are planning regular updates from now until steam release with the methodology of move fast and break things. (Although hopefully there will be a lot more fixing then breaking). The point is leading up to the steam release we aren't going to be aim for large monolithic update and rather pushing smaller patches frequently as things are made ready.
In all seriousness, we know this update has been a long time coming and we want to thank our community for sticking with us all this time. We look forward to seeing clips and screenshots of you all causing chaos (and breaking the game ;n;) in all sorts of ways!
