Hello everyone, this is Little Jiang from customer support ~
**1. The Problem**
We've received quite a few reports: when creating or joining a room, the game gets stuck, times out, or simply fails to connect. The issue is real, and it's on us. Let us apologize first.
**2. What's Going On**
We're a two-person team, and our multiplayer currently runs on EPIC's free server service. The free tier has significant limitations in node allocation and connection stability, and cross-region matchmaking often fails during handshake. With our current funding and manpower, we can't fully fix this in the short term — we'd rather be upfront with you about that.
**3. A Temporary Workaround (We'd Really Appreciate Your Help Here)**
Running a network accelerator before launching the game noticeably improves your success rate:
- LeiShen (Thunder) Accelerator
- UU Accelerator
- XiaoHeiHe Accelerator
- Any other network accelerator or proxy tool that works for you
We recommend that both the host and all party members keep it running, and select the same node region for best results. If you don't get in on the first try, returning to the lobby and retrying usually works.
**Our Solution (A Two-Step Plan)**
**Step 1: Switch to Steam's networking service**
This is the fastest path to results, so it's our priority. Steam's connection service offers much better availability and stability in our region than what we're using now, and most players should no longer need an accelerator.
**Step 2: If problems persist, build our own dedicated matchmaking server**
If a meaningful number of players still can't get into rooms after the switch, we'll invest in building our own room matchmaking server — starting with nodes in the China region so local players can connect directly, then expanding to overseas nodes based on where our players are.
For the full release, we're committed to making sure everyone gets into the game smoothly.
We're genuinely grateful to every player who's sticking with us at this stage. Those extra minutes you spend waiting — we don't take them for granted. If you run into connection problems, please let us know in our group or in the comments. Including your general region and which accelerator you're using helps us pinpoint the issue much faster.
We're working on it. Please give us a little more time 🙏
