The biggest update so far. The world is now really the world, the game speaks 28 languages, and player development has been rebuilt from the ground up.
53 countries become 128, and two shipped worlds become six: next to the two European ones there is now South America, North America, Asia with Oceania, and Africa. Every country brings its own names, sponsors and club prefixes: RC in the Maghreb, CLB in Vietnam, FBC in Peru.
Together the four new worlds bring 75 associations, 152 divisions and 2,314 clubs, plus 84 competitions: domestic cups and two continental cups per region. The league structure is the real one, the clubs and players inside it are invented.
Nationality follows the club country. Before this, every club in the world had 46% Germans in the squad, even in Rosario.
Six interface languages become 28, with real national flags instead of six hand-drawn ones.
Portuguese is split: Brazil and Portugal are two packs, not one full of compromises. The same goes for Latin American Spanish.
A talent now turns potential into strength about six times more slowly. Before, a seventeen-year-old hit his ceiling at nineteen, and then nothing happened for fifteen years.
That also stops the overshoot: 71% of players aged 21 to 23 stood above their own potential, now it is 15%.
Agents take their cut now: 12% on each side. The buyer pays it on top, the seller has it deducted, and that money leaves the world for good. It shows as its own line in your finances.
Pre-contracts are only signed during the season, no longer in the summer or winter break.
The Youth Academy delivers what it promises. Until now the real talent sat 9 to 20 points below the promised range: you paid for a talent and got a ceiling.
Your tactics survive the season change. Mentality, pressing, playing style, captain and penalty taker used to fall back to the defaults.
The treble is a season again, not a career.
Crests make it into the Workshop. They used to fall out of the mod silently, without a single message.
Your mod can now have its own preview image.
