We are continuing with our "Making Of" video series, where we show you everything behind the creation of Alex & Arty! 🔆
In this third episode, we showcase the evolution of Alex. As a character, she is a determined, tech-savvy woman who refuses to let Gladness remain polluted.
We started with the suit design she would use at the bottom of the sea, and then we created the versions for the Wildlands and Thunder Mountains environments.
Our final design had features based on people from India, mixed with other nationalities. Her skin color is a light caramel, and her eyes are of a warm green.
The idea behind this was that we imagined a future in which races and nationalities are united, and the human race has mixed up completely (quite a nice thought if you ask us!).
To us, Alex conveys the determination we were looking for, blended with curiosity and empathy toward the creatures of Gladness. We hope she makes you feel the same way!
