Hello everyone,
Over the past month, we’ve been working on several projects simultaneously. Alongside new diary entries, we’ve also started developing a major new feature for the Trench phase. However, as this feature requires a bit more time, we expect to be able to release it in one of the updates after the next one.
There have also been some developments on the visual front:
In response to numerous requests, soldiers will wear seasonal clothing from the next update onwards. In winter, for example, some soldiers will be seen wearing coats, tube scarves and/or wristlets.
In hot weather, you’ll see soldiers with their shirt sleeves rolled up. As part of this, we’ll also add a few more uniform variations that were common amongst the infantry on the Western Front at the time.
In addition, our soldiers will then – particularly at the start of the game – wear the marching boots known as ‘Knobelbecher’ much more frequently. From autumn 1915 onwards, leather items worn on the body will also be increasingly depicted as blackened in the game, as was the practice to improve camouflage.
The next update will therefore be a mix of diary entries, graphical content, and additions to existing content, and it probably won’t be too long before it goes live!
