Where Selquara protects her garden with thorns and Veyra subjects everything to the hunger of her brood, Auralis represents something different:
Order. Resonance. Perfect growth.
Her crystals are neither ordinary minerals nor traditional ice magic. They are living tissue – structures grown by the hive itself, transforming biological matter into something almost unnatural: hard, precise, and strangely beautiful.
Auralis herself appears distant. Calmer than the other leaders, almost emotionless.
But calm should never be mistaken for kindness.
To her, the Xenogarden is not a chaotic swarm.
It is a chorus.
Every organism is a voice. Every synapse is part of a larger pattern. Through her crystalline structures, those voices begin to resonate with one another.
That idea also defines her visual design.
Dark organic fibers form the foundation of her body, while large translucent crystal blooms grow directly from them. Roots, plant tissue and mineral structures have become impossible to separate. Even her avatar looks less like a conventional creature and more like a moving crystalline formation grown by the Xenogarden for a specific purpose.
Eventually, I want that theme to be reflected in her gameplay as well. Auralis is less about overwhelming numbers and more about structure, control, and synergy throughout the colony.
What I especially like is how differently each leader interprets the same organism.
Selquara grows a garden upon which the enemy breaks.
Veyra creates a brood that consumes everything in its path.
Auralis wants to transform the hive into something perfect.
The pencil sketches shown here offer an early look at Auralis and her avatar. As always, individual details and mechanics may still change during development.
But the core of her identity is already there:
When the entire garden beats in the same rhythm, the chorus begins.
