Veyra – Matriarch of the Brood

Today, I would like to introduce another leader from Xenogarden: Veyra.

While Selquara represents thorns, control, and a slowly growing defensive network, Veyra embodies a far more restless side of the hive. Her theme revolves around brood, poison, and biological adaptation.

Veyra does not see the Xenogarden as a fortress. To her, it is a living organism that must constantly evolve. Her creatures are meant to pressure the enemy, contaminate territory, and remain dangerous long after the initial confrontation has ended. Where Selquara allows enemies to break themselves against her thorns, Veyra seeks to consume them from within.

Her design follows the same idea.

The green chambers embedded throughout her avatar are not ordinary gemstones. They resemble venom sacs, eggs, and small incubation chambers grown directly into its body. The purple plating is not manufactured armor, but a living fusion of chitin, plant tissue, and alien biomass.

Veyra’s true form appears almost calm and regal.

Her avatar reveals what happens when that intelligence creates a body specifically for war: larger, heavily armored, and shaped entirely around survival, propagation, and destruction.

That contrast is important to me. The leaders of Xenogarden should not simply offer different statistics or abilities. Each of them represents a different belief about how the hive should grow and survive.

Selquara cultivates an impenetrable garden.

Veyra creates a brood that can no longer be contained.

The pencil sketches shown here offer an early look at Veyra and her avatar. Details and mechanics may still change during development, but the core of her identity is already clear:

Everything lives. Everything adapts. And everything can become part of the brood.

Resonance. Perfect growth. Her crystals are neither ordinary minerals nor traditional ice magic. They are living tissue – structures grown by the hive itself, transforming biological matter into something almost unnatural: hard, precise, and str…Community26 Jul 2026Selquara – The Garden Grows ThornsOne important thing first: Selquara is not a traditional hero character walking around the battlefield. Instead, she changes the direction of the entire garden. Her focus is clearly on Thorn Towers , strong defensive growth, and a network that becomes increasingly unpleasant for attackers the further it spreads. Since you cannot simply select your creatures in Xenogarden and send them after ind…Community17 Jul 2026Xenogarden Roadmap – The Swarm GrowsThe Xenogarden continues to grow.
