Since the release of the Bus Simulator 27 Demo here on Steam, we got a lot of feedback and a number of questions came up. So let’s dive a bit deeper… :-)
About the Demo
The Bus Simulator 27 Demo is based on the current beta status of the game – not the final version. The game for sure will get more polished and fine-tuned till the release. In general, the Demo is meant to give you a first sneak peek into the exciting game world of Felicia Bay and how driving and servicing a route will work. To do so, the Demo offers access to the Tutorial, a City Drive route within one of the districts of Mequina, a long distance ride from Mequina to Alcaztelar, and a long-distance route from Alcaztelar back to Mequina.
As you can see within the Demo’s menu screen, there are a number of features shown as locked. All of these will become available within the full game when it gets released on September 08, 2026.
What you can expect in the full game
The full game will for sure be more polished and offering access to all of the features and buses. Bus Simulator 27 will offer an open world gameplay and you will be free to choose if you want to play it in Story, Career or Sandbox mode. Within the main game you will get access to 45 bus models from 13 well-known brands and for sure you will be free to customize their skins according to your likes. Next to this, you can look forward to an extensive Route Creator which offers the opportunity to create your own routes and to manage your route network as well as your bus driver employees. Which buses should drive which routes is totally up to you.
And…yes…for sure you will be able to drive routes and to manage your company together with up to 3 additional players in multiplayer.
And…yes…the game will offer modding support too. With the help of the modding kit you will be able to create your own buses and bus skins.
Some technical aspects
As mentioned above, the Demo is based on a beta build of the game. Many players were asking for DLSS and FSR support. Both functions are currently in development, but not implemented in the Demo yet - but for sure they will be available in the full release version of the game and we will also try to push a first glance on DLSS into the Demo very soon. Next to this the team is still eagerly working on general performance and other game improvement topics, such as the Traffic AI, fine tuning of bus physics etc.
Steering Wheels & Eye Tracking Support
Steering Wheel support is currently work in progress. A number of steering wheel devices are already working (some fully, some partial) and others are going to be implemented and prepared with pre-prepared configurations on the road to release. For the best gaming experience we suggest to check the settings for your wheel and to adjust the sensitivity and other options to meet your personal needs. Support for eye tracking devices such as Track IR and Tobii Eye Tracker is planned for a later time.
