Today, Not Quite Dead reached 10,000 wishlists on Steam.
I’ve been staring at that number for a little while, trying to figure out what to write.
For some people, 10,000 might just be another statistic on a Steam dashboard.
For me, it means a lot more.
When I started working on Not Quite Dead, I had an idea for the survival game I wanted to make and a long list of things I wanted players to be able to experience. Since then, there have been countless hours of development, bugs that seemed impossible to fix, systems rebuilt more than once, late nights, moments of frustration, and plenty of moments where I wondered how far the game could actually go.
And through all of that, I kept watching one number:
the wishlists.
I had this personal goal in my head for a long time:
It felt far away at first.
Then it slowly became possible.
5,000.
6,000.
7,000.
8,000.
9,000...
And now we're here.
That means 10,000 people saw Not Quite Dead and thought:
“I want to keep an eye on this.”
And that's honestly a pretty incredible feeling.
Every wishlist, every person who played the demo or Playtest, every bug report, every YouTube video, every comment, every Discord message, and everyone who simply told a friend about the game helped get it here.
There is still work to do.
I'm still fixing bugs, improving multiplayer, polishing the world, improving systems like the trader, working on localization, balancing gameplay, and trying to make the game better every single day.
Not Quite Dead isn't finished evolving.
But today I wanted to stop for a moment and appreciate this milestone instead of immediately opening Unreal Engine and finding the next Blueprint to fix. 😅
Seriously...
Thank you for giving this game a chance.
Thank you for following its development.
Thank you for sticking around through the Playtests and updates.
And thank you for helping Not Quite Dead reach something that was genuinely very important to me.
10,000 wishlists achieved.
Now let's see how much further we can take this. ❤️
See you out there, survivors.
