The game no longer crashes on the home screen. A drawing layer was reaching for the screen behind it while that screen was being torn down, which could kill the game a second or two after it appeared.
Co op Trials can be started again. Pressing Start used to look like nothing happened, because the reason it refused was being wiped off screen before you could read it. It now tells you when you need another player, and the Start button disables itself until you do.
Leaderboards only accept 3 star runs again. Scores below the line were reaching the boards by mistake and have been keeping honest runs out of the rankings.
Star ratings work on the Trials map list. Every map was showing zero stars no matter how far you got.
Screen changes are a clean fade. Menus used to slide sideways and slightly downward on the way in, which was most obvious on Mac.
Text is easier to read across the whole game. The heavy outline was applied everywhere by mistake and was cutting into letters on the settings menu and on leaderboard names. Only the Wend title keeps the thick outline.
Paths now sit inside bonus tiles rather than covering them, so you can see which bonuses your route is running through.
Holding the flatten view key fades the path back, so you can see the ground underneath your towers.
Ranked runs lighter on your machine. The game was recreating the whole match on your side purely to draw the lightning, at more than the cost the server itself pays. That work is roughly halved.
Your save is protected against a crash. Saving used to overwrite the real file in place, so a crash at the wrong moment could lose it.
