Hello, survivors!
Survival Log's brand new demo officially launched today at 11:00 AM.
Go to the demo page and click [Download Demo]. Those who have previously downloaded the demo will automatically update to the new version.
We've also created a short video showcasing the playable content in our demo, as well as a preview of the full version content. Welcoming all survivors to come and watch!
In this demo, you will experience:
Prologue: It begins with death. Then, a second chance. You jump back before the end. This time, you're ready.
Pre-Disaster Prep: Stock up on supplies by visiting supermarkets, convenience stores, hardware stores, and more. Purchase furniture and equipment to build your safe house.
Post-Disaster Survival: Manage Your Satiety, Stamina, and Morale. Organize your backpack and storage while keeping an eye on your carrying capacity and expiration dates. Plant crops, cook meals, craft items, and set traps for hunting to rebuild order in during these apocalyptic times.
Power Grid Management: Deal with sudden blackouts, allocate generators, and energy storage devices. Manage the power to manage your life.
Crisis & Defense: Repair doors and windows, fortify defenses, and stave off endless waves of zombies.
Exploration: Head to exploration points to scavenge supplies under exposure risks and time constraints. Decide whether to "grab one more shelf" or quit while you're ahead.
Time Loop & Collection: Whether you complete the 20-day survival or fall along the way, every day you've lived will accumulate as Planning Points. This will make you stronger in the next cycle.
Collections and achievements are also waiting for you to unlock gradually.
The full version is expected to include :
3 playable characters. There will be 100 days of a storyline for each character.
More diverse random events and crises
Difficulty selection and endless mode.
More exploration scenarios.
Our team is currently working full force on developing the full version. We are striving to create a complete and enthralling experience for everyone as soon as possible.

A: The official version of Survival Log is expected to launch at the end of July. The specific date and pricing will be announced soon, so please stay tuned.
A: This demo is an optimized version of the previous test. We've focused our development efforts during this period on the areas where feedback was most concentrated: fixing freezes, crashes, save file issues, and optimizing mid-to-late game performance. If you still have issues after trying it out, feel free to send us your system configuration info along with your feedback. We'll do our best to optimize the game.
We've also made quite a few improvements to the experience:
Cookbook: You can now directly access ingredients and dishes from the fridge inside your home (with optimized recipes and new dishes added).
Random Events: Added a batch of new events for after Day 10. This makes mid-to-late game events more diverse.
Tutorials & Controls: Added first-time tutorials for the map, cooking, exploration and other modules. Also, added common hotkeys (viewable in settings).
Collections & Achievements: Unlocked the collection system where you can view items you've owned or crafted. Also, added a batch of exclusive achievements.
Other Optimizations: The power directory can now jump directly to corresponding facilities. Also, the material display in the crafting interface is more intuitive.
Status simplified from five dimensions to four.
Daily settlement now includes a learnable plan.
Additionally, based on feedback from survivors regarding the mid-to-late game pacing from the previous round, this main storyline conclusion is set for Day 20, after which you can choose to be reanimated again.
The cold wave mechanic is temporarily not available in this version. We're working on completing the corresponding gameplay mechanics like keeping warm and heating systems. It will be released once we've polished the system properly.
A: The commodity prices, item weights, shelf life, and other aspects in the game are all designed around the gameplay loop of "pre-disaster stockpiling + post-disaster survival." They are not meant to reflect the real world, so please don't use this as a real-world guide to hoarding.
We're still refining the balance. If anything makes your gameplay experience frustrating, feel free to give us feedback with specific scenarios, and we'll keep making adjustments.
A: We understand that everyone wants to experience the game at their own pace, but there are currently no officially released modding tools.
Third-party mods from unknown sources pose real security risks. Cases of trojan horses and account theft programs are not uncommon. Once compromised, you may lose more than just your game saves. We will be unable to help recover anything. Modded save files are also prone to data anomalies and crashes. This makes it difficult for us to identify bugs you report.
For the security of your computer and save files, please only obtain the game and updates from Steam. Please do not share mod tools within the community. Currently, difficulty adjustment, parameter customization, and Workshop support are all in our development roadmap.
If you're looking forward to having difficulty options or parameter customization features in-game, please stay tuned for the full release!
