Thanks to everyone who has given the Unshelved demo a try! We're here with a post-demo update to fix some of those pesky bugs you've told us about, along with a few quality-of-life and balance changes to help round off those dog-eared corners a little. While you've been exploring the library and handling books we've been handling bugs instead!
A couple of things in particular are an improvement to connectivity for those of you playing long distance as well as an audio and microphone setup screen that should appear on start-up. Below is a list of everything we've been up to in Version 1.1.0
Added a microphone setup screen to be shown at start-up for first time players.
Added a UI indicator to show the current day after waking up.
Added various visual improvements to the shop.
Improved the control prompt text for the “Librarians Handbook”.
Improved feedback to better indicate when a shelf is full.
Improved word clarity in some emails.
Fixed the control prompt text not correctly hiding after dropping some items.
Fixed a bug caused by shuffling damaged books resulting in multiple visual issues.
Fixed an issue which caused old bodies to remain after restarting the level.
Fixed a visual UI issue while spectating.
Fixed a bug which caused the creature chasing music to continue indefinitely.
Fixed a bug which caused heartbeat sounds to continue into the next day.
Fixed an interaction locking issue caused by players losing connection.
Fixed items in chests occasionally appearing in the wrong orientation.
Increased the network connection timeout threshold to improve stability for players with inconsistent connections.
Adjusted the instructional text for the “Thread Tightness” module.
Adjusted the tutorial to better indicate that items can spawn in drawers.
Renamed the “Input” settings to “Controls” to improve communication.
