Pre-release patch notes for Lucky Shot

Lucky Shot · published

Hello everyone! We're just hours away from the official release of Lucky Shot, and we're pushing a few final patches so everyone can experience the game at its fullest from day one.

Releasing a game brings a mix of emotions. It's not easy to share something that is, in many ways, a part of us, a piece of work shaped over a long stretch of time. But we couldn't be prouder, not only of what the game has become, but of the amazing, warm community that has grown around it so quickly.

We hope you enjoy playing Lucky Shot as much as we've enjoyed making it. And this is just the beginning, we have plenty more in store for you!

Aim & Sensitivity Overhaul

The aim system has been rebuilt around sensitivity profiles. A new Sensitivity Style setting lets you pick how your mouse/controller sensitivity is interpreted. You can choose between different styles, with Lucky Shot being the default one. The pause menu has a new Input tab with inverted X/Y axis toggles and advanced settings, the first-time setup features a redesigned aim calibration flow.

Endless Mode Rework

  • Targets are now rounded to friendly numbers (for example, 178,666 becomes 180,000) while keeping the familiar Small/Big/Boss target proportions as your run scales up.

  • There is also some new content specifically for endless, we hope you like it!

Boss & Challenge Feedback

  • Every boss and challenge round now clearly announces its modifier with an on-screen notification and a dedicated audio cue when it activates.

  • The Level 6 boss now has a boss variant!

Co-op Improvements

  • Pausing is synchronized between players (with a notification when a teammate pauses), the session is handled gracefully when the host or a client leaves mid-run, score confirmation and total-score notifications sync correctly, and target spawning at round start no longer builds up into a sudden burst of targets.

  • Co-op is still a complex game mode, we appreciate any reports you may have!

Magazine & Bullet System Overhaul

The bullet system received a major reliability pass: fragile bullets are properly consumed and no longer reappear after reloading, modified normal bullets now correctly persist across reloads and rounds, and you get a clear notification whenever bullets are removed from your magazine while using the void drink. The Bunker Gun now behaves correctly when equipping and unequipping weapons, and Anvil and reshuffle interactions were fixed.

Balance Changes

  • Abacus: now gives +1 Target Points per bullet in your magazine (was +2).

  • Reroll Drink: rarity increased from Common to Uncommon.

  • Hack Expired Drink: can no longer target Chonk holos.

  • Bunker Gun: its magazine now holds a single Giga Rainbow Bullet (was a rainbow bullet).

  • Removed the "A random Hacked Holo appears next shop" challenge reward.

Fixes

  • Lil Cart now updates its score when rerolls are spent.

  • Shop UI shootable elements give proper feedback.

  • The Witch boss aim modifier now ends as soon as the round's score tally begins, instead of lingering into the after-round screen.
