The First Public Demo Is Live! 🚂

Today we're releasing the very first public demo of Speed Rivals - Model Trains.

We wanted this to be more than a traditional closed playtest. Instead of only gathering feedback from a small group, we'd rather let everyone experience the core gameplay loop and help shape the game from the very beginning.

Please keep in mind that this is a very early demo.

The purpose of this build is to validate the game's main mechanic: building your railway network, operating your train, transporting cargo, and discovering whether the core gameplay feels fun and satisfying.

Many systems are still missing or incomplete, and that's completely expected at this stage. Over the coming months we'll continue expanding the game based on everything we learn from your feedback.

What happens next?

  • 🚂 This public demo will be available for approximately 3–4 weeks.

  • 🛠️ After that, we'll move to a very small closed playtest focused on testing the Layout Editor with a handful of selected players.

  • 🚉 Once the editor is more mature, we'll open a larger playtest with many more features and improvements.

  • 🚀 Finally, we'll bring the public demo back with a much more complete version that will be far closer to the final game.

Every comment, bug report and suggestion you share helps us make Speed Rivals - Model Trains better.

Thank you for joining us this early in development. We can't wait to hear what you think!

See you on the rails! 🚂
