First a huge thank you to everybody who played the demo and provided valuable feedback and encouragement. CWB is better for it. I won't bore you with too long a wall of text as I know some of you are keen to get to the action.
A lot has changed since the demo, mainly under the hood. Visible things include: It is now easy to see which units have done all they can each turn, HQ's are more relevant, weapon ranges can be visualised the same as LOS, the camera will no longer follow hidden AI units, random battle mode was added and more that has slipped my mind. The computer player is even smarter and will focus weakened units, fallback if needed, counter battery your artillery and knows how important your HQ's are.
The manual is short and even if you don't read it all you should at least check the combat modifiers page to ensure you get the best results in combat.
The Soviet and US campaigns are probably the most newcomer friendly.
Tough one, 'Imjin' in the misc category may have you feeling the pressure a touch as would 'Bridge 14' if Angola is your thing. 'The Screen' in the NATO category will see you with a whole CVRT Recce Regt but nothing else...
Well firstly lots of checking in on the community page to make sure nobody is encountering bugs.
Next, the Dutch will be added to the game with a couple of scenarios to play as and against them. This free update will come very soon.
A Middle East scenario pack with missions from the Arab-Israeli wars and more is planned as a paid DLC. Though slightly out of time frame I have a feeling the first Gulf War will sneak in too.
Periodic updates with extra scenarios
After that, well it all depends on demand. There is a wealth of theatres and situations that could be covered if folk want it and suggestions are welcome.
Thanks for reading,
Chris.
