Hello everyone,
We have been reviewing feedback from Steam reviews, the community, and our ongoing tests. Based on your reports and suggestions, we have completed a new round of improvements and quality-of-life updates.
This update includes:
Fixed an issue where the Abyss Merchant could spawn in a position that prevented its passive effect from triggering correctly.
Expanded the Continue Game system. Saves now retain the player’s position, current route, HP, Armor, Protection, Gold, status effects, skill cooldowns, Relics, Relic stacks, and other in-run data.
Added a “Settle Run” option to the ESC pause menu, allowing players to end the current run and settle the meta-progression rewards earned so far.
Hovering over a character’s active skill button now displays its full description, base cooldown, and current cooldown status.
Equipped Warehouse Enhancements can now be permanently destroyed. Click an occupied Enhancement slot and confirm the action to remove it.
Updated several card illustrations and restored some of the previous artwork preferred by players.
Improved route generation, UI messaging, overall stability, and several other gameplay details.
Thank you to everyone who has shared reviews, screenshots, bug reports, and suggestions. We are continuing to expand the roster, Relic pool, stages, and meta-progression systems. Our upcoming updates will focus heavily on substantial new content.
Abyss Academy will enter a period of frequent content updates throughout the coming month.
Planned for September 7–13:
Release 25+ brand-new Relics.
Two new playable characters are currently in testing and will be released once testing is complete.
Both characters will have Normal and Corrupted forms.
The new characters will introduce distinct skill-based builds and new synergies with the existing Relic system.
Planned by September 30:
Expand the total Relic pool to 200+.
Provide at least 8 stages before entering Endless Mode.
Add more enemies, special encounters, and stage events.
Double the amount of available meta-progression content compared with the current version.
Continue expanding character upgrades, the Warehouse, World Tree progression, and Abyss progression.
Continue improving saves, settlement, controller support, and overall release stability.
Gather community feedback and begin testing multiplayer gameplay.
These plans reflect our current development schedule. The exact release order may change depending on testing results, but Relics, characters, stages, and meta-progression will remain the main focus of this month’s updates.
