August 31 - AcrePilot Closing Hotfix

A small but important AcrePilot hotfix is now live.

Two players reported that they had enough cash to complete an acquisition, including cash they had drawn from their line of credit, but the deal could still fail at closing with a generic “authoritative state” error.

I tracked it down.

The problem was not that LOC-funded cash had been intentionally disallowed. Older Banking and LOC transactions could exist without some of the newer transaction-identification data, and the new acquisition settlement safety checks were being too strict about that older history. The closing correctly refused to make a partial transaction, which protected the save, but it also meant a perfectly valid deal could get stuck.

That is fixed.

• Existing saves with those older Banking/LOC transactions can now complete valid acquisitions normally.

• LOC-funded cash is still valid cash for closing. There was no intentional change removing that strategy.

• Older transaction history is preserved rather than being rewritten just to satisfy the newer checks.

• New Banking transfers, LOC draws, and LOC repayments now receive safer transaction identities before balances are changed.

• AcrePilot now gives more specific explanations when a negotiation or closing action genuinely cannot proceed instead of dropping into the generic error message for known situations.

I also ran the affected public-save pattern through both an all-cash acquisition and a financed acquisition, including save, quit, relaunch, repeated-action protection, and month-close behavior.

No new game is required.

If you were stuck on an accepted AcrePilot deal, update the game and reopen that existing negotiation. You should be able to continue the closing without withdrawing from the deal or starting over.

Thanks to Nerdmillion and robbiebonnett1234 for reporting this so quickly. This was exactly the kind of edge case that is hard to see until a real save history runs into a new system.

And if anyone still gets stuck after this update, please tell me. Screenshots are useful and saves are even better.

A few players were still able to reach the final step of a valid acquisition, choose their closing terms, and then get the generic: “The requested negotiation action could not be completed from the current authoritative state.” This was a different edge case from the ones corrected in the previous updates. I tracked this one down using an affected player’s…Family Office SimulatoGame update8 Sep 2026September 8 - AcrePilot Closing & Financing Follow-UpAnother Family Office Simulator update is live. A few players were still running into two frustrating AcrePilot problems after the last closing update: • a valid property purchase could still fail with the generic “authoritative state” message; and • Preview / Continue to Financing could sometimes appear to do nothing. They turned out to be two separate issues hiding behind similar symptoms. After the August 31 AcrePilot hotfix, a few players were still able to hit the same generic “authoritative state” error even though they had enough money to close the deal. Once I started tracing those saves, it turned out there were a couple of deeper issues underneath that same message. The biggest one involve…
